London (KurdishMedia.com) 26 June 2009: While the population of a Sulemani neighbourhood protesting against Talabani’s empty promises, the KNN journalists were insulted by Talabani’s bodyguards, reported speiy.com website on Friday.
While Talabani visiting Sulemani, people protesting outside his resting place. Three journalists of KNN TV channel were forced to stay in their vehicle for 40 minutes while they were insulted by Talabani’s bodyguards, according to speiy.com report. Talabani is on a visit to Sulemani.
One of the journalists, Bryar Namiq, told speiy.com that while they were forcibly trapped in their vehicle by Talabani’s bodyguards, the protesters chanted anti-PUK slogans and supported the Gorran list, Movement for Change, led by Nawshirwan Mustafa.
Sulemani was a stronghold of the PUK, led by Talabani, but the reform wing which re-grouped as "The Movement for Change" parliamentary list marginalised PUK.
