VP Khuzayi, Turkmen delegation discuss political developments in Iraq
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Vice-President, Khudhir al-Khuzayi, received a delegation from the Turkmen Community that comprises the Minister of the State for the Parliament Affairs, Turan al-Mufti, MP, Arshad al-Salihi and MP, Hassan al-Bayati.
A statement by Khuzayi’s office received by IraqiNews.com on Tuesday cited “The two sides discussed the political developments in Iraq and the issues related to the Turkmen Community in Iraq.”
“Khuzayi assured that the government is highly interested in the rights of the Turkmen Community in Iraq due to its importance and the terrorist attacks that it faces,” the statement added.
‘Khuzayi stressed the necessity of re-considering the security plans in order to protect the Turkmen Community where the delegation appreciated Khuzayi’s hospitality and being acquainted with the Turkmen’s issue,” the statement concluded.
