French abuse of Iraqi relations…

The visit of French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner to the occupied Iraq and his irresponsible statement for Kirkuk showed the absence of political maturity said the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) in the press statement.

HEYET Net - In the press statement number 561 issued by the General Secretariat on 6 June 2008 AMSI said that the manipulation of Kirkuk file and aligned to a political point without considering the complex nature of the file of Kirkuk would harm the Iraqi-French relations of which historical dimension is well known.

The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq (AMSI) warned that it presents the fulfillments of France from the political gains - rejecting aggression against Iraq - a vulnerability and vibration, is an unexpected provocation to the feelings of the Iraqi people.

Here is the text of the statement:

On the recent statements of French Foreign Minister on Kirkuk

In a surprise visit by the French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, in the city of Nasiriyah, to attend a conference of the so-called investors held at the University of Dhi Qar, Kouchner said: "The aim of the visit is to send a message of love and peace to the Iraqi people, and that France is ready to build travel facilities in the city.

At a press conference on Friday with some current Kurdish politicians in second station in Arbil Kouchner said: Article 140 concerning the normalization of the situation in Kirkuk is a constitutional article, to be enforceable, and that the international organization will provide its proposals in this regard, no need to inflate the issue.

This visit gives the smell of the desire to obtain something from the investment gains at any cost under the U.S. occupation of the country, and the irresponsible statements made by the French minister in Erbil on file in Kirkuk is indicating to the absence of political maturity to the French minister.

It is known that the situation in Iraq is not suitable for investment because of the deteriorating security situation in which there is no horizon to indicate the presence of potential improvement because of the presence of the occupation, the continuing oppression on the country and its people. To manipulate the file of Kirkuk and aligned to a political point without considering the complex nature of this file, the French - Iraq relations which has historical dimension, as well as the presents of the achievements of France from political gains by refusing to aggression on Iraq and the weakness of vibration, is an unexpected provocation to the feelings of the Iraqi people.
