KIRKUK, Iraq, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- A car bomb killed an employee of Iraq's North Oil Co. while a police officer was injured in a motorcycle blast near Kirkuk, police said Thursday.
Officials said the employee died when the charge placed beneath his vehicle detonated as he was traveling to work near Kirkuk, Aswat al-Iraq reported.
In the other incident, a security official said a police officer was seriously injured "when an explosive charge blew off under his motorbike" in Tuz township south of Kirkuk.
