The foundation stone was laid on Wednesdayin Kirkuk, for the city’s first-ever five-star hotel. The building will also contain a shopping center.
The hotel and shopping center are being built by the Kirkuk-based Rekani Firm in cooperation with several Turkish companies. Construction is expected to cost 36.8 trillion Iraqi dinars ($31.58 million) and take three years.
